How it works
Choose files from your device, drag them here, or paste an image.
Adjust the available settings and inspect your results before downloading.
Download the result or copy your colors. No account or payment is required.
When to use it
Signature uploads
Application forms often require a scanned signature under 20KB. Crop the signature closely first for the clearest result.
Passport-style photos
Small ID photos compress well because they have few pixels; faces stay recognizable.
Thumbnails and avatars
Create very light previews for directories, forums and email signatures.
What to expect
The target is preset to 20 KB (20,000 bytes), a common limit for signatures and thumbnails. Quality is lowered first, then dimensions are reduced gradually. Very detailed photos may need smaller dimensions to reach 20KB.
Limits apply to both input and output. Animated images are not supported. Files remain in memory only; reloads clear your work. Smaller batches help on mobile devices.

Frequently asked questions
How do I compress a signature to under 20KB?
Crop the photo tightly around the signature, then add it here. The tool lowers quality and, if needed, dimensions until the JPG is at most 20,000 bytes. Dark ink on a white background compresses best.
Why does my photo look blurry at 20KB?
20KB is very small for a large photo, so it has to be scaled down. Crop to the important area first, or choose a larger limit if the form allows it.
Should I keep the original dimensions?
Only if the form requires a minimum pixel size. Keep dimensions lowers quality alone, which can add visible compression blocks at 20KB.
Is 20KB the same as 20,000 bytes?
This tool counts 1 KB as 1,000 bytes, so results are at most 20,000 bytes. That also fits sites that count 1 KB as 1,024 bytes.
Are my images uploaded?
No. Image processing takes place in your browser. Files are not sent to Codia and are removed from this workspace when you refresh or leave. Website analytics, when permitted, never contain your images or file names.
Can I process multiple files?
Yes, up to 20 files per batch, within the displayed size limits. Each file is processed separately. Download successful results individually or as a ZIP; a failed file does not block the others.
Will quality and metadata stay the same?
Results depend on the operation and settings. Lossy compression changes pixels; JPG removes transparency. Exports target ordinary 8-bit web images and do not promise EXIF, HDR, original color profiles or 16-bit preservation. Always inspect the result.
