The target is preset to 200 KB (200,000 bytes). At this size most photos keep their full dimensions; the tool lowers JPG quality only as much as needed and reduces dimensions only if the limit still is not met.
Limits apply to both input and output. Animated images are not supported. Files remain in memory only; reloads clear your work. Smaller batches help on mobile devices.
