Download the result or copy your colors. No account or payment is required.
When to use it
Smaller photos
Photos exported as PNG are often several times larger than needed. JPG is the better format for photographs.
Upload requirements
Many forms, printing services and marketplaces accept only JPG files.
Logos on a solid background
Place a transparent logo on white, black or a brand color when a JPG version is required.
What to expect
JPG does not have an alpha channel. Select a background color before converting transparent logos or graphics; white is the default. Quality starts at 90 and dimensions stay unchanged. Photographs often suit JPG, while sharp text or transparent icons may look better as PNG.
Limits apply to both input and output. Animated images are not supported. Files remain in memory only; reloads clear your work. Smaller batches help on mobile devices.

Frequently asked questions
What happens to transparent areas?
JPG has no transparency, so transparent pixels are filled with a background color. White is the default, and you can choose black or any custom color. The option appears only when your image actually has transparency.
What JPG quality should I use?
90 keeps photos visually identical in most cases. Lower it to around 75 for smaller files. Text and sharp edges may show artifacts below 70.
When should I keep PNG instead?
Keep PNG for screenshots with small text, line art and images that need transparency. JPG works best for photos and smooth gradients.
Does the converter resize my image?
No. The dimensions stay the same. Use the Image Resizer afterwards if you need fewer pixels.
Are my images uploaded?
No. Image processing takes place in your browser. Files are not sent to Codia and are removed from this workspace when you refresh or leave. Website analytics, when permitted, never contain your images or file names.
Can I process multiple files?
Yes, up to 20 files per batch, within the displayed size limits. Each file is processed separately. Download successful results individually or as a ZIP; a failed file does not block the others.
Will quality and metadata stay the same?
Results depend on the operation and settings. Lossy compression changes pixels; JPG removes transparency. Exports target ordinary 8-bit web images and do not promise EXIF, HDR, original color profiles or 16-bit preservation. Always inspect the result.
